Congressman Troy E. Nehls, representing Texas’ 22nd Congressional District, recently shared several statements via social media, highlighting his achievements and perspectives on government policies.
On June 17, 2025, Congressman Nehls expressed pride in receiving the Champion of Limited Government Award. He stated, “Proud to receive the Champion of Limited Government Award. I’m honored to represent the 22nd Congressional District of Texas in Congress and to defend the U.S. Constitution. More freedom. Less government.”
Later that day, Nehls commented on immigration policy changes between May 2024 and May 2025, stating a significant reduction in illegal aliens released into the U.S. He attributed this change to a new presidential administration with his tweet: “May 2024: 64,000 illegal aliens released into the U.S. May 2025: 0 illegal aliens released into the U.S. All we needed was a new President.”
On June 18, Nehls referenced economic achievements during President Trump’s early months in office, specifically noting wage increases for blue-collar workers as indicative of an “America First” approach: “In President Trump’s first five months in office, blue-collar wages saw its largest increase in nearly 60 years. This is what America First looks like.”
Troy Nehls has served in the U.S. Congress since replacing Pete Olson in 2021 and continues to reside in Richmond, Texas.
