Congressman Troy E. Nehls, a U.S. Representative who has won several consecutive elections since 2020, posted a series of statements on his social media account criticizing the January 6th committee, commenting on changes at the FBI, and honoring police officers killed in Pennsylvania.
On September 17, 2025, Nehls shared his opinion about the work of the January 6th committee: “The Democrats’ SHAM J6 committee wasn’t focused on finding the truth. It was focused on damaging President Donald J. Trump and ending his political career. The joke’s on them. President Trump is back in the White House, and America loves him.”
A day later, on September 18, 2025, he commented on recent leadership changes at the FBI: “The FBI is no longer weaponized against Americans. And it drives the Left crazy. FBI Director Kash Patel is returning the FBI to its core mission: protecting the American people. It’s a breath of fresh air.” He also mentioned Breanna Morello in this post.
Later that same day, Nehls addressed an incident involving law enforcement officers: “Today, I held a moment of silence for the three officers who were brutally murdered yesterday in Pennsylvania. As a former law enforcement officer, my prayers are with the families who lost their loved ones, and I hope the two officers who were injured recover quickly.”
Troy Nehls has served as a member of Congress after winning general elections in Texas’ 22nd congressional district against Sri Preston Kulkarni in 2020 with 51.5% of votes; Jamie Jordan in 2022 with 62.2%; and Marquette Greene-Scott in 2024 with 62.1%. These victories reflect consistent support from his constituency across multiple election cycles.
