Congressman Troy E. Nehls, who has served as a U.S. Representative since 2021, recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing legislative efforts and public safety statistics.

On August 20, 2025, Nehls highlighted the provisions of H.R. 3944 in a post: “H.R. 3944– The Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2026:

On August 22, Nehls shared another opinion regarding New York Attorney General Letitia James with the statement: “Another post from Letitia James that didn’t age well. https://t.co/rzJwLtOE6j”

Nehls has maintained his seat through several election cycles. In the 2020 general election, he won against Sri Preston Kulkarni by a margin of approximately seven percentage points. He was re-elected in both the 2022 and 2024 elections with over sixty percent of the vote each time against Jamie Jordan and Marquette Greene-Scott respectively.
