Congressman Troy E. Nehls, who represents Texas’s 22nd congressional district, shared several posts on his social media accounts commemorating the anniversary of September 11 and honoring the late Charlie Kirk.
On September 10, 2025, Nehls expressed condolences regarding the passing of Charlie Kirk, stating, “Charlie Kirk was a husband, father, friend, and an American Patriot who fiercely loved our country. My wife, Jill, and I are praying for comfort for his family.”
The following day marked the anniversary of the September 11 attacks. Nehls posted a tribute to those lost in the tragedy: “Today, we honor and remember the lives taken from us on September 11, 2001. 2,977 civilians; 343 firefighters; 72 law enforcement officers; 55 military personnel. We will never forget that day, or the strength America showed in the face of tragedy. God bless the USA.” This message was published on September 11, 2025.
Later that same day, Nehls referenced Charlie Kirk again by sharing another post: “An important reminder from @charliekirk11. God bless him and his family.”
Troy Nehls has held office since winning election in Texas’s 22nd congressional district in November 2020. He secured re-election victories in both subsequent cycles—defeating Jamie Jordan in 2022 with approximately 62% of the vote and Marquette Greene-Scott in 2024 with over 62% as well.
