Congressman Troy E. Nehls, who has served multiple terms in Congress after winning elections in 2020, 2022, and 2024, shared his condolences and legislative updates on social media this week.
On January 6, 2026, Nehls expressed his sorrow over the death of a fellow lawmaker: “I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Congressman Doug LaMalfa. @RepLaMalfa served with me on @TransportGOP. He was a dedicated public servant committed to serving his constituents and our country. Please join me in praying for his family and loved ones.”
The following day, January 7, Nehls posted about advancements in aviation safety: “612 antiquated radar systems are being replaced to keep our skies safe. This was all made possible by the One Big Beautiful Bill! We are moving forward to updating our air traffic control system to keep America moving! https://t.co/Xuf3B8fkUj” He also included a separate post linking additional information: “https://t.co/IKShwP3qpv”.

Doug LaMalfa, mentioned by Nehls as a colleague on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee (@TransportGOP), was recognized for his commitment to public service.
