Congressman Troy E. Nehls, who represents Texas’ 22nd district in the U.S. Congress, has shared several updates on social media regarding legislative developments and national celebrations.
On July 3, 2025, Congressman Nehls announced via Twitter that he voted in favor of sending the One Big Beautiful Bill Act to President Trump’s desk. “NEWS: I just voted YES to send the One Big Beautiful Bill Act to President Trump’s desk.” He highlighted that this legislation is designed to prevent a significant tax hike, enhance border security, and boost American energy dominance. According to Nehls, “This bill is promises made, promises kept. Plain and simple.”
The following day, July 4, 2025, Nehls celebrated Independence Day with an expression of gratitude for living in what he described as the greatest country in the world. In his post, he stated: “Happy Independence Day! We are truly blessed to live in the GREATEST country in the world.” He concluded with a blessing for the United States.
Later on July 4th, Congressman Nehls announced that President Trump had signed the One Big Beautiful Bill into law. He remarked on its anticipated impact by stating: “This bill increases take-home pay for hardworking Americans, secures our borders, unleashes American energy dominance, and ushers in the Golden Age of America.” The tweet concluded with a reference to President Trump’s slogan: “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
Troy Nehls was born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin in 1968 and currently resides in Richmond. He has been serving as a congressman since replacing Pete Olson in 2021 and holds a BA from Liberty University.
