On June 12, 2025, Congressman Nehls tweeted about his vote to rescind $9.4 billion in spending. The following day, on June 13, 2025, Nehls turned his attention to international matters with a tweet concerning Iran and Israel. He asserted that “Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.” Additionally, he affirmed Israel’s right to self-defense and urged prayers for Israel and American personnel in the region.

Later on June 13th, Nehls addressed domestic security issues with a tweet about assaults on ICE officers. He noted that such assaults have increased by “413%,” highlighting the daily efforts of ICE officers to remove dangerous individuals from communities and calling for an end to targeted attacks against them.
