Congressman Troy E. Nehls, who represents Texas’ 22nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared his views on social media regarding two pressing issues: attacks on ICE agents and women’s sports regulations in California.
On July 8, 2025, Congressman Nehls addressed recent ambush attacks on ICE agents. He attributed these incidents to “the Left’s dangerous rhetoric” and expressed his support for the men and women of ICE, whom he described as patriots deserving of public backing. He concluded with a call to action by asking, “Do you?”
Shortly after this post, at 16:16:55 UTC on the same day, Nehls shared a link via Twitter without additional commentary or context here.
The following day, July 9, 2025, Congressman Nehls criticized California’s policies regarding gender participation in sports. He stated that the state forces girls to compete against biological males and supported the Department of Justice’s decision to file a lawsuit against California for allegedly violating Title IX. In his tweet he emphasized the need to protect women’s sports.
Troy Nehls has been serving in Congress since replacing Pete Olson in 2021. Born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin in 1968 and currently residing in Richmond, he holds a BA from Liberty University.
