In the first quarter of 2026, property owners in Fort Bend County paid 2.5% of the value of their homes in property taxes, more than 2.8 times the national average, according to BlockShopper.com.

The median sales price of a Fort Bend County home in the first quarter of 2026 was $217,861, based on data from the 1,674 properties sold during that time. In 2026, the median tax bill for the county was $5,511, which is 2.5% of the median value of the homes that were taxed.
