Congressman Troy E. Nehls has recently used his social media platform to comment on issues ranging from immigration enforcement to the state of the U.S. economy and criminal justice policy.

On September 9, 2025, Nehls addressed criticism directed at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), stating, “The rhetoric from the media and the Left is one of the reasons our brave ICE agents have experienced a surge in attacks against them. ICE isn’t ‘disappearing’ illegal aliens. They’re arresting them because they broke the law. Way to handle the Fake News Media @RealTomHoman.”

Later that day, he commented on economic conditions under President Biden’s administration: “The truth always comes out. The Biden Administration left behind a broken economy. We have the right man in the White House to fix this mess and bring us into the Golden Age of America.”

On September 10, 2025, Nehls expressed agreement with a call for harsher penalties in a criminal case: “I completely agree, Mr. President. Reduce recidivism. DeCarlos Brown Jr. should be given the death penalty.”

Congressman Troy E. Nehls represents Texas’s 22nd congressional district and has secured multiple election victories in recent years, including defeating Sri Preston Kulkarni in 2020 with 51.5% of the vote, Jamie Jordan in 2022 with 62.2%, and Marquette Greene-Scott in 2024 with 62.1%. These results reflect consistent electoral support within his district.
