Congressman Troy E. Nehls, who has served multiple terms after winning elections in 2020, 2022, and 2024, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing ongoing legislative actions in the U.S. House of Representatives.
On September 30, 2025, Nehls stated: “Here’s where we stand: House Republicans, including myself, did our job. We passed a clean, non-partisan CR to keep the government open. It’s the same short-term CR that virtually all Democrats voted for 13 times during the Biden Administration. The Senate only has 53”.
Later that day, he highlighted potential security concerns related to a possible government shutdown: “DID YOU KNOW: If the Democrats shut down the government, the federal government’s authority to take down nefarious drones also expires. This means airports, football stadiums, and other critical infrastructure would be at risk. Democrats should think twice before they”.
On October 1, 2025, Nehls commented on environmental policy with a brief statement: “Terrific news. Terminate the Green New SCAM.”
Nehls represents his district following victories over Sri Preston Kulkarni in 2020 with 51.5% of the vote; Jamie Jordan in 2022 with 62.2%; and Marquette Greene-Scott in 2024 with 62.1%. These results reflect his continued electoral support within his constituency.
