Congressman Troy E. Nehls, a Republican representing Texas’s 22nd congressional district, used his social media platform on August 4, 2025, to highlight recent developments regarding U.S. immigration policy and the American shrimping industry.

In a post dated August 4, 2025, Nehls wrote: “May 2025: Zero illegal aliens released into the U.S.

June 2025: Zero illegal aliens released into the U.S.

July 2025: Zero illegal aliens released into the U.S.

This is what winning looks like.”

Later that day, Nehls commented on actions taken by former President Donald Trump in support of domestic industries. In his post he stated: “President Trump is demonstrating that the USA won’t be taken advantage of any longer.

He’s standing up for the American shrimping industry and the American worker.

I applaud President Trump’s decisive action that puts American shrimpers first.”
