Nehls has served as the U.S. Representative for Texas’s 22nd congressional district since first winning election in 2020 against Sri Preston Kulkarni with approximately 51% of the vote. He was re-elected in both 2022 and 2024 by significant margins over Jamie Jordan and Marquette Greene-Scott respectively.
