Congressman Troy E. Nehls, a Republican representative who has secured electoral victories in 2020, 2022, and 2024, recently used his social media platform to comment on issues related to crime, immigration, and veterans’ affairs.

On August 12, 2025, Nehls addressed crime in Washington D.C., stating: “The fact that CVS stores in DC have to lock up toothpaste is why President Trump is right to crack down on crime in our nation’s capital.”

A day later, on August 13, he cited immigration statistics from the Center for Immigration Studies: “According to estimates by the Center for Immigration Studies, the population of illegal aliens in the United States has decreased by 1.6 MILLION since President Trump took office. I voted for this.”

On August 14, Nehls discussed changes at the Department of Veterans Affairs: “GREAT NEWS: The backlog of Veterans waiting for VA benefits has dropped by more than 37% since January 20. Under Joe Biden, the backlog rose by 24%. Under President Trump’s leadership, the federal government is back to working for We the People.”

Nehls’ recent posts follow a series of successful election campaigns. In the most recent contest in 2024, he defeated Marquette Greene-Scott with over 62% of the vote. He previously won against Jamie Jordan in 2022 and Sri Preston Kulkarni in 2020 with similar margins.
