Congressman Troy E. Nehls, representing Texas’ 22nd district since 2021, has been vocal on social media regarding recent tragic events in the Texas Hill Country. On July 5, 2025, he expressed his sorrow and urged for prayers for families affected by the tragedy. He also extended gratitude to those involved in rescue efforts.
On July 5, 2025, Congressman Nehls posted “This breaks my heart.” He asked people to join him in praying for the families who have lost loved ones and wished for a speedy recovery of those missing. He thanked the National Guard, first responders, law enforcement officers, and volunteers working tirelessly to save lives.
Later that day, he reiterated his call for prayers with another post: “Please continue to pray for the Texas Hill Country.” He emphasized the need to pray for those still missing and their families as well as those involved in rescue operations.
On July 7, 2025, Nehls highlighted community support through a tweet: “Brazoria County community helps Kerrville victims”. He praised Brazoria County residents for their assistance during this difficult time and noted how Texans are supporting each other amid adversity.
