Congressman Troy E. Nehls, serving Texas’ 22nd district, shared his views through a series of posts on social media. Nehls, who replaced Pete Olson in 2021, shared his opinions and reactions on various topics including American immigration policy and international incidents.

In an April 24 post, Nehls criticized the Democratic Party, stating, “Democrats care more about illegal aliens than American citizens. It’s that simple.” Later the same day, he posed a question on social media, prompting, “How long until Democrats demand his release?”

In a post on April 25, Nehls expressed his condemnation of a violent incident abroad, stating, “I strongly condemn the heinous terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Such acts of violence are absolutely inexcusable. Please join me in praying for those who have lost their loved ones and the people of India.”

Nehls, 55, originally from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, now resides in Richmond and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Liberty University.
