The following day, November 28, he expressed his support for former President Donald Trump with a tweet stating: "President Trump isn’t even in office yet, and he’s already making America safe again. He is a true leader. Thank you, President Trump! "
Later that day, Nehls extended holiday greetings via Twitter: "Happy Thanksgiving! I am grateful to represent the 22nd District of Texas in Congress. We are truly blessed to live in the greatest country in the world. I wish you all a great day filled with family and friends."
