CITY OF BELLAIRE: Library is Opening

Galveston

City of Bellaire issued the following announcement on May 29.

Bellaire City Library will reopen at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 3, adhering to 25% occupancy requirement, social distancing and the wearing of facial coverings for all who enter the library to continue to protect the community while you begin your summer.

Curbside hold pick-up will continue to allow you to make a choice in how you wish to receive your summer reading.  Beginning June 3, come into the library to browse the collection or use one of public computers.  Tables and chairs have been arranged to encourage social distancing and computers will have a limit of one hour per day per person.  The photocopier and scanner will also be available for your use.

Senior adults will have an exclusive browsing hour on Mondays at 9:00 am beginning June 8.

The library will not be able to accommodate any meetings, gatherings, programs or group visits until further notice.  Book donations are also deferred until the end of summer.

Library hours will be Monday-Thursdays 10:00 am - 6:00 pm; Friday and Saturdays 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.  Holds can be placed 24/7 and once you receive an email indicating the hold is ready for pickup you can arrange for curbside pickup or come into the library.

The book drop is also open 24/7 for returns.  Bellaire LIbrary is back and ready to serve you!
