Congressman Troy E. Nehls, who represents Texas’ 22nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently expressed his views on social media regarding several actions taken by President Donald J. Trump. Nehls, a vocal supporter of the former president, highlighted what he perceives as significant achievements under Trump's administration.
On February 21, 2025, Congressman Nehls praised President Trump for his accomplishments within a short period of time in office compared to former President Joe Biden. "President Donald J. Trump has accomplished more in just one month than Joe Biden did in four years." He further expressed optimism about future developments under Trump's leadership.
Later that day, Congressman Nehls commented on an executive order signed by President Trump concerning gender participation in sports. "President Trump signed an executive order banning men from women’s sports." Nehls criticized the state of Maine for not complying with this order and supported withholding federal funding until compliance is achieved.
In another post on February 21, 2025, Nehls acknowledged a significant decrease in illegal border crossings at the southern border. "Remarkable. Illegal border crossings at the southern border are down 95%." He attributed this change to the efforts of Border Patrol Agents and thanked several key figures including President Trump and others involved in border security efforts.
