Harmony Science Academy School District Education: 286 Asian students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 286 Asian students enrolled in Harmony Science Academy School District in the 2022-23 school year, 4% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Harmony Science Academy School District welcomed 3,501 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Asian students comprised 8.2% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Harmony Science Academy School District roughly covers schools within Harris County and has a main office in Sugar Land.

Among the five schools in Harmony Science Academy School District, Harmony Science Academy-Houston recorded the highest enrollment of Asian students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 88 students.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
