On April 2, 2025, Nehls reported, "The private sector added 155,000 jobs in March, according to ADP. More than economists’ expectations. We continue to win with President Trump in the White House."
Later that day, Nehls addressed concerns over voting rights, stating, "It’s simple: Only American citizens should vote in American elections. Yet, top Democrats, including Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, filed a lawsuit to block President Trump’s order barring non-citizens from voting in US elections.
