Congressman Troy E. Nehls, who represents Texas's 22nd District in the U.S. Congress, recently shared several statements on social media regarding political appointments and policy directions under President Trump.

On November 16, 2024, Congressman Nehls announced via Twitter that "President Trump has announced that North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum will be the Secretary of the Interior and chairman of the new National Energy Council." He congratulated Governor Burgum and expressed support for energy policies with the phrase "Make America Energy Dominant Again!"

The following day, November 17, 2024, Nehls emphasized a call to action for Congress through another tweet. He stated that "The American people have spoken: they want America to be put FIRST, not last." He urged Congress to enact President Trump's agenda without delay.

Later on November 17, he commented on another appointment by President Trump. In his tweet, he remarked "Great choice by President Trump." while congratulating Chris Wright.
