Congressman Troy E. Nehls, representing Texas’ 22nd district since 2021, recently shared his views on various topics through a series of tweets. Nehls, who succeeded Pete Olson and holds a BA from Liberty University, has been vocal about legislative and political developments.

On December 11, 2024, Congressman Nehls announced that the House had passed a bill concerning the United States Postal Service (USPS). The legislation mandates USPS to assign unique zip codes to communities lacking them. Nehls expressed support for this measure as beneficial for cities like Sargent, TX. "GREAT NEWS: The House passed a bill that directs the USPS to designate single, unique zip codes for communities that do not currently have one. I’m proud to support this common sense bill to help cities and towns, including Sargent, TX, that currently lack unique zip codes."

Later on December 11, Nehls commented on the resignation of FBI Director Chris Wray. He expressed approval of Wray's departure and anticipated positive changes under Kash Patel's potential leadership at the FBI. "BREAKING: FBI Director Chris Wray has resigned. Good riddance. I look forward to my friend, Kash Patel, rooting out corruption at the FBI. He will gut the fish."

On December 12, Nehls congratulated former President Donald J. Trump in a tweet praising him as an "America First patriot." He lauded Trump as "the greatest president" of his lifetime who deeply loves America."Congratulations to the greatest president of my lifetime, President Donald J. Trump! President Trump is an America First patriot who truly loves our country."
