Congressman Troy E. Nehls, representing Texas' 22nd district, has been vocal on social media about various issues concerning federal governance and immigration policies. His recent tweets have addressed topics ranging from government expenditure to border security.

On February 8, 2025, Congressman Nehls expressed concern over an unspecified issue by stating, "This is a massive problem."

On February 10, 2025, he criticized the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for its financial decisions. In his tweet, he highlighted that ".@DOGE continues to expose waste, fraud, and abuse within the federal government. FEMA spent $59M on housing illegal aliens in luxury hotels in NYC. Outrageous."

Later the same day, Nehls commented on border security measures under President Trump's administration. He noted a significant reduction in illegal crossings at the southern border since January 21st and remarked on previous policies by stating: "The number of illegal aliens stopped trying to cross the southern border has dropped by 90% since January 21. The Left’s border crisis was by design. Thankfully, President Trump is back in the White House."
