Congressman Troy E. Nehls recently took to social media to address several legislative and political issues. In a series of tweets, he discussed the introduction of new legislation, addressed matters of congressional decorum, and commented on actions taken by a fellow congressman.

On March 6, 2025, Congressman Nehls announced his collaboration with Senator Ted Cruz in introducing the Justice for Jocelyn Act. He emphasized the urgency of passing this legislation by stating that Congress must act quickly to ensure it reaches President Trump's desk. "I joined @SenTedCruz in introducing the Justice for Jocelyn Act."

In another tweet posted later that day, Congressman Nehls clarified reasons behind a censure action against a colleague. He asserted that the censure was not due to opposition against President Trump but was rather about maintaining expected congressional standards. "You’re not being censured for “standing up to President Trump.”

Further addressing congressional conduct, Congressman Nehls criticized actions taken by Congressman Al Green during a joint session of Congress with President Trump. He described these actions as shameful and expressed his support for censuring Congressman Green. "NEW: Congressman Al Green’s actions during President Trump’s joint session of Congress were shameful."
