Troy E. Nehls, a Congressman representing Texas' 22nd district since 2021, has recently shared his views on several national issues via social media. Nehls, who replaced Pete Olson in Congress, has been vocal about state governance and national security matters.

On March 14, 2025, Nehls expressed his opposition to California's climate policies influencing other states. In a tweet posted at 15:49 UTC, he stated: "The radical liberal state of California shouldn’t be able to force its radical climate agenda on other states. My bill will ensure California only governs California—not hardworking patriots in Texas. Thank you to @SenMikeLee for leading this bill in the Senate."

Later that day at 17:03 UTC, Nehls raised concerns about Chinese nationals studying in the United States amidst espionage worries. He tweeted: "The CCP hates America and everything we stand for. Why in the hell would we allow 300,000 Chinese nationals to come here on student visas when we know the CCP is conducting espionage activity to steal our technology? We must put a stop to this."

In another post on March 14 at 20:20 UTC, Nehls addressed foreign students involved in political demonstrations within the U.S., suggesting deportation as a consequence. He stated: "This shouldn’t be controversial: Foreigners on student visas who have been arrested for pro-Hamas riots should be deported."
