Troy E. Nehls, currently serving as a U.S. Congressman for Texas' 22nd District, took to social media on March 26, 2025, to express his views on recent political issues. These statements reflect the congressman's ongoing advocacy for conservative viewpoints and policy stances.

On March 26, 2025, Nehls criticized Texas Democrat Representative Jasmine Crockett for her comments directed at Governor Greg Abbott. Nehls stated, "Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett called our great Governor Greg Abbott “Governor Hot Wheels.” She should be ashamed of herself. This is today’s Democrat Party."

In a separate tweet later that day, Nehls questioned the allocation of taxpayer funds to media organizations, asserting that, "Why should hardworking American taxpayers be forced to pay for leftwing propaganda? It’s time to defund NPR and PBS." This statement indicates his stance on government funding of public broadcasting networks.

Turning to transportation regulations, Nehls addressed his concerns regarding speed limiters on commercial vehicles. He tweeted, "Speed limiters on commercial motor vehicles hurt our small and independent truck drivers. They are anti-American, Big Brother nonsense." This highlights his advocacy for small business interests and a position against regulatory measures he perceives as overreaching.
