Congressman Troy E. Nehls, representing Texas' 22nd district since 2021, recently shared several statements on social media concerning current issues. Nehls replaced Pete Olson and has been vocal about various national matters.
On March 17, 2025, Nehls highlighted the decline in gas prices across the country. He noted that "the average gas price in Texas is $2.65 per gallon," contrasting with the previous year's average of $3.07 per gallon. He expressed gratitude towards President Biden for this change.
Later that day, he addressed concerns about the presence of a gang known as Tren de Aragua in at least 18 states. In his post, Nehls stated that "Joe Biden and his administration allowed them to invade our country," while affirming that former President Trump and his team are actively working to remove these individuals from the United States.
In another update on March 17, Nehls commended Bryan Bedford's appointment to lead the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Bedford to enhance air traffic control systems in the U.S., stating "Bryan Bedford is a great choice to lead the FAA."
